Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Management Accountant who is aspiring to be CIMA qualified and eager to grow in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This role requires a natural relationship builder with strong analytical skills who can partner with stakeholders across the business, ensuring financial insights translate into actionable strategies.

Key Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Aspiring to be CIMA qualified—we support your professional development and provide the resources to help you achieve this.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in management accounting, preferably in an international business.
  • Strong knowledge of international accounting standards or UK finance legislation.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Natural relationship builder-able to collaborate and influence at all levels.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of presenting financial data in a clear, actionable way.
  • Proactive, analytical, and strategic thinker—able to anticipate challenges and drive solutions.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Analysis & Reporting – Prepare and present accurate, timely financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to senior leadership.
  • Provide data-driven insights to inform strategic decision-making and identify growth opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support long-term business planning and scenario analysis.
  • Budgeting & Cost Management – Collaborate with General Managers to develop, manage, and monitor departmental budgets effectively.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to drive financial efficiency.
  • Analyse budget variances, investigate discrepancies, and propose corrective actions to optimize financial performance.
  • Compliance and Governance – Ensure compliance with UK finance legislation, tax regulations, and international accounting standards.
  • Maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure regulatory adherence.
  • Prepare for audits and manage relationships with external auditors.
  • Business Partnering & Relationship Management – Partner with CEO, COO, and department heads to align financial strategy with business goals and objectives.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies to facilitate smooth operations.
  • Foster a data-driven culture, ensuring financial insights guide key decisions and strategies.
  • Process and System Improvement – Continuously refine financial systems, tools, and reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Implement best practices in management accounting to support international operations and scalability.
  • Lead or participate in cross-functional projects aimed at improving financial processes and systems.
